The hotel's location is perfect for those who like luxury shopping, as it is near many upscale and expensive stores. the hotel is situated in the center of a small bowl, creating a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the Upper East Side from their bright and light rooms. the room interiors and the marble bathroom are luxurious. Guests can have a nice experience with the staff's warm and friendly service. the hotel also offers great amenities like a fitness center, spa, and dog-friendly facilities.
There are some inconsistencies with the hotel's services, primarily the breakfast staff's lack of professionalism.

We went to a Woody Allen concert at the Carlyle Hotel. It was an experience.
There was a problem with the credit card. My house bank said the hotel missed a charge. As a result, the credit card statement on site became complicated, which, according to the house bank, was due to the hotel.

The staff throughout the house is phenomenal and cannot be outdone. Breakfast (even though the buffet has unfortunately been removed) and food is very good. With the prices of the rooms - one wonders where the value of the price lies-???. carpet edges frayed !!!
As mentioned above -- price and offer of the premises -- In a city where the water quality is not very tasty - there is no mouthwash !

The Carlyle is a memorable and peaceful hotel in NYC. The staff is incredible, friendly, and helpful. The French food and wine bring back cherished memories of traveling through Europe. The live jazz quartet enhances the elegant atmosphere.
Nothing it is perfect.

Had a wonderful Christmas break staying in the hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating with any request we had. The breakfast was delicious, particularly the pancakes and the fresh orange juice. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center and all the main attractions. We also loved the elegant decor of the hotel which made us feel like we were staying in a palace.
That the bathroom was quite small, making it a bit of a tight squeeze for two people to get ready in the morning. the carpets in the hallway were a bit worn out which did not give the best first impression.

The staff is gracious and attentive to every need. The hotel is located in one of the best neighborhoods of NY The elegant traditional decor, and tone of another era made staying there an experience that I would wish to repeat at any opportunity.

The location
The curtains were dirty and they put far too many towels: they just got in the way and didn't seem to notice that there was only one occupant in the room: put out slippers and turned down the bed for 2 every night ie hardly personalised service! Staff were condescending

Spent Thanksgiving weekend at this hotel and it was superb! the concierge was amazing and helped me find a nearby restaurant for our family dinner. the location couldn't be better, as we were just a short walk from all the best shops and attractions. Our room had a breathtaking view of the city and there were extra little surprises every day that made our stay even more extraordinary. Highly recommended for a magical stay in the city!
That the heating system in our room didn't work properly and it was quite chilly outside. the hotel staff quickly brought up a space heater for us.
